Founded by Visionaries
Established in 1982, The Morningside project was the culmination of a lifelong dream of real estate developer, Ed Johnsen. It was the second of two Ed Johnsen projects in the desert.
Morningside was the most upscale project in the desert at the time. Jack Nicklaus was brought in to design the golf course, a premier interior design firm from San Francisco designed the Clubhouse and the first teaching pro was the famous Claude Harmon, father of Butch Harmon, widely known as the premier teacher in the game of golf. |

| Morningside Fitness and Tennis Centers |
The Morningside Tennis Facility consists of five hard courts, one clay court, a lounge and dining area, a fully stocked pro shop, automated ball machine and friendly, professional staff. The facility sets in a lushly landscaped setting surrounded by shade trees and of course, flowers, flowers and more flowers.
There are numerous tennis events throughout the season including inter-club competitions, club championships, pro-ams and more. The staff is always there willing to fill in games, officiate games or to serve the Morningside member in any way possible.
The Morningside Fitness Center is a state of the art fitness and training facility that has breathtaking views like none other in the Coachella valley. Our full time Director of Fitness is dedicated to helping members develop a health and wellness program designed specifically for their individual needs. More importantly, their enthusiasm and dedication to fitness ensure that our members stick to their program!

The Homeowner's Association provides numerous services not found in many private communities for a custom and unique living experience. The residents enjoy a very tight security operation with a perimeter security system, 24 hour per day patrol and an advanced technological Security Command Center. Each home alarm system is monitored by the Command Center. The courteous onsite staff is available to assist you with any of your needs as a homeowner at Morningside.

Two other things that are important to me… first, The Club at Morningside is the most inclusive and welcoming Club and community of members I have ever experienced. Truly amazing. | The golf course is always in fabulous condition and I was impressed by the intangibles... Morningside is so unbelievably friendly; everyone knows our names! The service is always incredible, from the valet service to the golf shop, to the staging area to the Lounge. The food is divine, particularly when compared to the offerings at other local clubs and restaurants. There is something intrinsically wonderful about Morningside. The members are friendly, unassuming and kind. The staff is the same, from our Member Relations to our General Manager! We have been welcomed by so many members, enjoying meals in their homes, or dancing at events. It has been delightful! The challenge is it is difficult to convey intangibles in a website or a drive-by at the club. Our strength is our people... Morningside has warm welcomes, many magic moments and is our forever club! |

| Our first experience at Morningside was the warm welcome we received when we entered the Golf Pro Shop. The Director of Golf at the time, met us at the entry his entire staff to personally welcome us new members. That pretty well set the quality of standards for Morningside! Over the past thirty years we have thoroughly enjoyed the Clubhouse amenities, the friendly staff and membership. Needless to say, the golf course with its impeccable conditions was the main reason we chose Morningside. To state that we are overjoyed with our decision would be understated. The membership is the strength of our club, we have enjoyed endless warmth and friendly friendships, they rank at the top of our list. |

| Today |
Today, Morningside is purely a private-equity club owned by the membership. Its niche in a desert full of clubs is the genuine camaraderie shared by members. Morningside's bylaws restrict the membership size to two hundred and twenty-five, which equates to three and one half hour rounds of golf, no tee time lotteries and no outside non-member events.
